What does the market actually understand about your organisation?
The Quantum Space is a B2B media and intelligence platform focused on the digital trust economy. We work with organisations operating across cybersecurity, digital identity, post-quantum cryptography, AI governance, quantum technologies, trusted infrastructure and digital sovereignty.
These are markets where technology often requires explanation before it can achieve adoption. New architectures emerge, regulation changes, categories overlap and buyers need to understand how individual technologies fit into a much larger system.
A company can therefore have strong technology, experienced people and considerable market visibility while still struggling to establish a clear position.
The problem is not always visibility. It is often narrative.
Your organisation is already creating one through its website, product messaging, articles, executive commentary, media coverage, customer conversations, search results and, increasingly, the way AI systems describe your company.
The question is whether that narrative is the one you intended to create.
Strategic Narrative Engineering is the discipline of deliberately defining, measuring and building that position.
The methodology has been developed by Krowne Communications, the company behind The Quantum Space. While Krowne can apply Strategic Narrative Engineering across complex technology markets, TQS uses the approach specifically within the digital trust economy and the audience it already serves.
Why Organisations Work With Us
Companies operating in the digital trust economy face a particular communications problem.
The technology often develops faster than the language used to explain it. Categories are still forming. Technical capabilities overlap. Regulatory requirements influence purchasing decisions. Engineering teams, product teams and marketing teams may all describe the same organisation differently.
That makes it possible to generate significant content and visibility without becoming clearly associated with the market position the organisation actually wants to own.
We help organisations answer three fundamental questions:
- What do you want to be known for?
- What are you actually known for today?
- What needs to change to close the gap?
The objective is not simply to improve messaging or produce more content. It is to establish a coherent, supportable market position and then determine whether the signals being created around the organisation are actually reinforcing it.
The Krowne SNE Operating Model
Our approach follows a simple operating loop:
Define → Measure → Engineer → Measure Again
Define
We begin by establishing the Prime Narrative: the strategic market position the organisation wants to own. This means defining the audiences that need to understand it, the problems and market transitions it should be associated with, the narrative pillars that support it and the evidence required to make the position credible.
The Prime Narrative is not a slogan or advertising line. It is the position that the organisation wants customers, partners, investors, analysts, search engines and AI systems to associate with it.
Measure
Once the intended position is clear, we assess the narrative that already exists. This is the role of the Krowne Narrative Gap Analysis.
The analysis compares the intended Prime Narrative with the signals currently being created across the organisation’s content, digital presence, search visibility, authority signals and AI representation. It shows where the intended narrative is already supported, where it is weak and where significant gaps exist.
Engineer
Once the gap has been identified, we determine what needs to change. That intervention will be different for every organisation. It may involve messaging, website architecture, expert positioning, evidence development, editorial content, research, external authority, podcasts, whitepapers, search optimisation or stronger AI-era discoverability.
We do not begin by deciding how much content to produce. We begin by identifying which narrative relationships need to be strengthened.
Measure Again
Narrative engineering should produce observable movement. After an agreed intervention period, the same signals can be assessed again.
- Are the subjects the organisation wants to own becoming more strongly associated with it? Has authority improved?
- Are search and answer systems finding the organisation around the right topics?
- Are generative AI systems representing the company more accurately?
The aim is to determine whether the gap between the intended narrative and the externally inferred narrative is becoming smaller.
Narrative Gap Analysis Diagnoses. Strategic Narrative Engineering Intervenes.
The Krowne Narrative Gap Analysis is the diagnostic layer within the methodology.
It assesses the intended Prime Narrative against evidence across areas including strategic intent, narrative pillars, authority, discoverability, differentiation, answer visibility and AI representation.
The result is not simply another marketing score. It provides a structured view of where the organisation stands today and where intervention is required. This distinction is central to the approach:
Narrative Gap Analysis diagnoses. Strategic Narrative Engineering intervenes.
SNE, SEO, AEO and GEO
Strategic Narrative Engineering sits above the individual disciplines used to create and measure digital presence.
SEO — Discovery | Can the organisation and its content be found around the subjects it wants to own?
AEO — Answer Authority | Is the organisation sufficiently authoritative and relevant to be selected when machines answer questions around those subjects?
GEO — AI Representation | When generative systems describe the organisation, what do they associate it with?
SNE provides the strategic direction these disciplines should support. It defines what the organisation wants all of those signals to build towards.
From Diagnosis to Intervention
Once the narrative gap has been identified, Krowne determines what needs to change. For organisations operating within the digital trust economy, The Quantum Space can provide part of that intervention through its established editorial platform, audience and market relationships.
Depending on the gap, an engagement might involve analytical editorial programmes, expert interviews, Innovating Trust podcast episodes, whitepapers, research, executive briefings, roundtables or sustained thematic publishing.
Not every narrative problem requires more content. The intervention is determined by the gap rather than by a predetermined media package. That is an important difference between Strategic Narrative Engineering and conventional content marketing.
90-Day Narrative Engineering Programs
Where the analysis identifies a need for sustained external authority, clearer market association or stronger independent evidence, TQS can build a structured 90-day intervention.
The programme may include editorial content, executive or technical perspectives, podcasts, research assets, multi-channel distribution and AI-era discoverability work. The precise structure depends on the narrative objective.
The output follows the strategy, rather than the strategy being defined by a fixed number of articles or social posts. This is a significant change from the original Strategic Visibility offer, which was built around predefined campaign outputs and amplification.
When Strategic Narrative Engineering Makes Sense
This approach is particularly relevant when an organisation has strong technology but an unclear market position, when different parts of the company describe the business differently, or when a company is entering a new market or category.
It is also useful where customers need explanation before persuasion, where competitors appear to own the language around an important subject, where significant content activity is generating visibility without clear strategic association, or where search engines and AI systems are not representing the organisation in the way it expects.
For companies working across the digital trust economy, these are increasingly important questions. Markets are becoming more complex at the same time as machines are playing a greater role in how organisations are discovered, compared and described.
That makes narrative consistency a strategic issue, not simply a communications one.
Explore the Thinking Behind the Method
Our five-part Strategic Narrative Engineering series explores the thinking behind the methodology in greater depth, including the difference between content and narrative, how narrative gaps emerge, how they can be measured and how organisations can begin closing them.

Start With the Gap
If you already know what your organisation should be known for, we can begin by measuring whether the market currently sees you that way. If that position is not yet sufficiently clear, we begin by defining it. From there, the process follows the same operating loop:
Define → Measure → Engineer → Measure Again
If your organisation is producing substantial amounts of content and market activity but you are not certain what position all of that work is actually building, we should talk.
