TRUSTECH 2025 — Infineon is setting one of the clearest strategic lines on the show floor this year, presenting a unified story that brings together high-assurance authentication, post-quantum–ready hardware and the next wave of contactless payment technologies. Rather than treating identity, authentication and payments as separate technology tracks, Infineon’s presence at TRUSTECH 2025 frames them as a single trust infrastructure — one rooted in secure hardware and designed for the long transition ahead.

At the centre of this is the confirmation that Infineon’s SECORA™ ID V2 platform underpins one of the world’s first FIDO CTAP2.1 Authenticator Level 3+ certified solutions, delivered in partnership with Eviden. The Level 3+ tier introduces defences associated with government-grade credentials, including resistance against invasive physical attacks, side-channel analysis and fault injection.

With Eviden’s FIDO2 application running on Infineon’s secure controller, the certification represents a meaningful elevation of trust in hardware-backed  authentication. It also positions hardware-anchored identity as a requirement rather than an option for government, financial and industrial systems seeking stronger post-quantum resilience .Infineon is complementing the authentication headline with a broader set of platform updates that speak to the future of digital identity and secure transactions.

Its TEGRION™ SLC27 security controller — with PQC-capable cryptographic libraries — is on display as part of the company’s long-term roadmap for post-quantum–resistant identity documents and payment credentials.

The inclusion of PQC support at the hardware level is a notable signal at this year’s event, where most industry conversations still revolve around software-level PQC pilots. Infineon is positioning itself at the hardware root, which is where meaningful quantum-resistant assurance ultimately needs to reside.

On the payments and credential-form-factor side, Infineon is showcasing PAY M, its latest EMV platform engineered for a contactless-first world. PAY M supports cards, wearables and embedded payment devices, allowing issuers to deploy the same core security framework across multiple devices without redesigning their issuance flows. Faster personalization and high-performance RF operations address the continued growth of contactless payments, while optional modules for transit, closed-loop systems and loyalty schemes reflect how payment credentials are becoming multi-purpose tokens embedded across digital and physical environments.

The payments discussion continues with Infineon’s sustainability and biometrics push. SECORA Pay Green and SECORA Pay Bio illustrate the company’s attempt to stabilise the payment ecosystem on three fronts: environmentally conscious materials, enhanced biometric security and reduced lifecycle impact. While these developments attract less attention than the FIDO certification or the PQC roadmap, they signal that payments infrastructure is evolving beyond performance metrics and into long-term policy and environmental considerations — a theme that aligns strongly with European regulatory expectations.

Rounding out the portfolio, Infineon’s ID Key and broader SECORA ID ecosystem serve as a bridge between the card-centric identity world and the emerging hardware token environment. With support for NFC and USB, and options ranging from secure authentication to citizen-ID scenarios, the platform underlines the industry’s shift toward more flexible, multi-transport identity carriers.

Together with the Level 3+ FIDO announcement, ID Key reinforces the direction of travel: identity hardware is diversifying, not disappearing.Across all these announcements, Infineon is presenting a coherent narrative at TRUSTECH 2025. Identity, authentication and payments are converging into a single trust layer, and that layer is increasingly anchored in secure, PQC-ready hardware.

With Level 3+ certification raising the assurance bar for passwordless authentication, PAY M expanding the future of EMV credentials and TEGRION SLC27 charting the path to quantum-resistant identity, Infineon is shaping a trust-tech roadmap that many governments and regulated industries will be watching closely in the years ahead.
